Douglas County Search and Rescue Team will be holding a new member class in September.
There will be an information meeting for those interested in joining the team on:
Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at 7:00 PM in the CSU Extension Building at the Douglas County Fairgrounds (map below). The Extension Building is a split level brick building near the main entrance off Plum Creek Parkway.
At this meeting we will discuss the requirements for joining and being a member of the team, answer your questions and give you a chance to meet team members. It is strongly recommended you attend this meeting.
Applications, available at this meeting, will be due back by close of business on Wednesday, August 6.
Those accepted after a background check by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office will be notified by mail.
The first REQUIRED training for the new members will be the weekend of September 6 and 7, 2008. If you can't make both days of this weekend, do not apply. No exceptions. The following meeting will be on Wednesday, September 10, with field training on Saturday, September 13.
This will be the last new member training class until the fall of 2010.
